Tammeny is a secure location sharing app designed with privacy and security as top priorities. The app allows users to share their real-time location with specific people for defined time periods, with full data encryption during transit and storage. It features temporary sharing links that expire automatically and family circles for permanent sharing with family members. The app is optimized for battery consumption and uses smart tracking techniques that don't drain device power. The design focuses on simplicity while ensuring the highest security levels.

The app relies on Next.js with Prisma for data management and LiveKit for communication. Location is sent encrypted from the user's device via HTTPS and stored encrypted in the database. Temporary sharing links are managed through a token system that expires automatically. Tracking uses the Geolocation API with smart optimization for update frequency based on battery status.

The most prominent challenge was balancing tracking accuracy with battery consumption, as continuous tracking drains significant power. Implementing end-to-end encryption on constantly changing location data also required advanced technical solutions. Ensuring reliable expiration of temporary links even when the app is closed was an additional challenge.
